PerplexityBot is one of Perplexity AI's two documented crawlers. Declared user-agent:
Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible;
PerplexityBot/1.0; +https://perplexity.ai/perplexitybot)
The declared IP range is published. Declared crawlers respect
robots.txt per Cloudflare's testing.
PerplexityBot is the indexing / training sibling of Perplexity-User (on-demand user fetcher). Both are the declared half of Perplexity's crawler topology documented by Cloudflare (2025-08-04); the third undeclared stealth crawler documented in the same post is not PerplexityBot.
