Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector

The Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector is the AMP-managed scraper layer that collects Prometheus-format metrics from Amazon EKS workloads and forwards them to AMP workspaces. In Adobe Firefly's documented migration, managed scrapers operated beside the legacy self-managed Prometheus deployment, so AMP could take over collection for an explicitly selected critical metric tier without changing the existing monitoring workflow all at once. Design role

The collector separates the migration's collection concern from the legacy Prometheus deployment: EKS workloads continue exposing metrics, while the managed scraper becomes the collection path for metrics being moved to AMP. That makes the collector the load-bearing mechanism in a parallel-scraper migration.

Caveats

The source does not disclose scraper deployment topology, service-discovery configuration, duplicate-scrape handling, scrape failure semantics, authentication details, or whether Adobe uses the component for every metric tier.
